The Hyacinth (Hyacinthus) is a bulbous perennial plant of the lily family, precursor of the cultivated hyacinths, which grow in many colors - compared with the wild blue species. It grows in the mountains in the north of Israel. The flowers are fragrant, with three to ten blossoms on each stem, blooming from January to March.
